まぎらわしい語が 2 組あります。
cookは火を使って料理すること。サラダのように火を使わないものはmake a saladと言います。cookは「料理人」の意味にもなります。glassは「ガラス」と「コップ」の両方。glassesと複数にすると「めがね」になります。
